The expressive name that translates as “black kite” is an artistic alias of Daniel Brożek who resides in Wroclaw and remains active in the field of art, sound studies and music criticism. Within the Czarny Latawiec project, he is the author of music albums, installations and theatrical soundtracks. He describes himself as “a sonoristic plunderphoner and sound imperialist”, while his productions constitute “an expression of reverie over the timelessness of the rhythm of the Black Land and the power of unevenly tempered tuning”.
